3 VENDORS FACE COUNTERFEIT CHARGES.(CAPITAL REGION)

ALBANY -- Three vendors accused of selling clothing and jewelry with counterfeit trademarks picked the wrong place to set up shop Friday -- the Empire State Plaza.

Investigators from the Attorney General's Criminal Investigations Bureau sniffed out the alleged violators at a crafts fair in the plaza -- set up on the concourse level just a few hundred yards from the attorney general's offices.

The investigators called the offenders to the attention of the Capitol Police, who made the arrests.
